Umeed is a non-profit organization. We are a small and dedicated team striving to bring about a positive change in the lives of special people. Here we see every child as a unique composite of potentials, abilities, and for whom a program is designed to meet his or her particular needs.
The interventions whether academic, life skills or livelihood related, seek to provide for a meaningful, purposeful and fulfilling life.
To make them productive human beings of the society, wherein, they are no more considered to be a burden to their family or society on the whole.
The main and primary objective of the trust is to develop confidence in the minds of children/adults by motivating them to face the daily activities independently and to give them a feeling of security during their stay. To train them for an independent living. The above said objectives shall be applicable to all people irrespective of caste, creed, colour, language, sex and religion.

R. K. Chitra
Post graduate in Sociology, Diploma in Special Education, advanced Diploma in Learning Difficulties. Holds an International Graduate Diploma in Counselling Skills and a CBT coach. Has about 20 years of experience in the field of special education and counselling, working with varied categories of challenges.
Post graduate in Psychology, B.A and B. ED in Special Education, holds Diploma in learning disabilities and Counselling Skills. Has a vast experience in the field of special education.
Dr. Bibhu kumar
Graduated in Physio Therapy from Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Health science,Bangalore, also holds a Diploma in Nutrition and Health education (DNHE) and Diploma in Early Chilhood Care and education (DECE) and certified in Sensory Integration & Mannual therapy. Has been working with a reputed institution in the field of pediatric rehabilitation.
A graduate in Psychology. A Yoga therapist and an Interior designer.
Manager at Respect for life, India, an NGO working towards eradication of abortion ,creating awareness and tackling various social /gender issues.
MD in paediatrics. Currently a consultant and managing director at Pebbles n Pearls
